CV ADVICE

COVER LETTER

You may wish to include a cover letter with your CV. A well planned and carefully worded cover letter should demonstrate commitment, focus and enthusiasm. It should customise and personalise your application whilst clarifying your motivation for the opportunity. Additionally it should provide any vital information missing from your CV. Above all it should bring your CV to life, demonstrating a living, breathing person behind the words and format.

RESEARCH BOTH THE POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITY AND EMPLOYER

Before submitting, writing or updating your CV you should research both the potential opportunity and employer in as much detail as possible.

  • Dissect the job advertisement and/or specification and research
  • List skills, qualities and experience required
  • Speak to a qualified consultant regarding the opportunity enabling you the following benefits

UNIQUE INFORMATION ON WHAT EXACTLY IS REQUIRED:

  • You will demonstrate that you are proactive and motivated

Seek feedback on your CV from colleagues and career experts regarding the opportunity.
